The collection ‘NATURE FORMS’ is an ode to the Dutch tourist. It’s about finding peace in nature during difficult times with the importance of our mental health.
With this project, we collaborated with The North Face. While researching the brand I was fascinated by the construction of the well-known Dome-tent.
All 3 designs are inspired by the 3d shapes from the Dome-tent. Therefore, the 3 designs are connected by the similar 3d shapes, each in their own way.
The more I analysed the tent, the more the typical details stood out to me. I came to the conclusion that it would be great to bring these details into the garments as a finish and to recycle tents as the main fabric.
TOILLE PROCESS
I start with my toille process in CLO3D. For me, as a visual thinker, it’s great to see 2d and 3d next to each other. Another upside to CLO is more sustainable patternmaking with less toilles.
KNIT
With this project, I did the specialization Knit.
After experimenting, I decided to use the weave and tuck technique for the final samples.

LINE-UP
I like to mix analog and digital elements in the line-up illustrations.
SHOOT
All 3 items are made from recycled tents. Some of the orginal tent seams are still in the garment.
